The Project Momentum Shift You Might Be Missing

Have you ever been knee-deep in a big project and suddenly felt… completely overwhelmed?
You look at your to-do list, see how much is still left to do, and feel like you’re nowhere near done. That was me recently while working on a major project in my business.
I kept thinking about all the videos, worksheets, lessons, and resources I still needed to create. The finish line felt far away. It felt like standing at the base of a mountain and staring up at a peak that’s hidden in the clouds.
After weeks of chipping away at the pieces and part, I was feeling discouraged. Then I paused. I grabbed a sticky note counted up everything I had already created — and wow.
That number was big. It was the feeling I got when hiking and looking back at how far we had already come.
Instead of feeling stuck in what I still needed to do, I felt energized by what was done. The shift was instant. I was no longer discouraged… I was proud.
And that, my friend, is the power of small wins. It is the power of taking a moment to look at how far you have come.
It’s easy to focus on the gap and the distance between where you are and where you want to be. It can feel like chasing the horizon and never getting there.
But growth really lives in the gain. It lives in the distance between where you started and where you are now. It lives in celebrating progress.
So today, I invite you to pause and reflect:
- What have you already created or accomplished in the project you’ve been working on?
- What small actions have you taken this week that deserve a high five?
- What’s one way you can celebrate the progress you’ve made?
Whether you’re building a new offer, streamlining your systems, or just trying to get through the busy season, don’t forget to look back at the steps you’ve climbed. You’ve likely come further than you think.
Use that progress to create momentum and flow.
✨ Progress isn’t always loud. But it’s always worth noticing and celebrating.
